While working on FLYR's interface, our initial goal was to provide users with the most relevant information. We began by offering data tailored to the most common use cases, which seemed like a solid starting point. However, we soon realized that this approach was too restrictive to fully empower users. True understanding requires the ability to delve deeper – not just to narrow down options, but to engage with data in a more dynamic manner as users navigate to deeper layers. As users drill down to address specific use cases, the manner in which they interact with the data evolves, adhering to the principle that form follows function. It becomes increasingly clear that as users delve into deeper levels of the data, their interaction methods must adapt accordingly.
